So i have a gallon of water that i mixed about 2 table spoons of unsulfured molasses into. I was just wondering if this molasses water will be good for watering in the future? I ask because ive heard that molasses goes bad in the water very quickly. Any input is appreciated.
I think 2 tbs is a bit much. I'd dump half your water out and then refill with fresh water. I then use a fish tank bubbler to aerate the water for about 24 hours and then water the plants with it. I'm not sure I'd leave it sit longer than a few days incase some unhealthy microorganisms started feeding on the sugars in the molasses water.
^^ I agree ^^ 2 tbs is way too much. I use about 5 ml in a gl of water at 6.5 - 6.8 PH. I mix it a few hours before I use it. I do the same with nutes. I allow the water to sit in my grow area so it will be the same temp when adding it to the soil.
