does marijuana affect the liver

Everything you ingest affects your liver, the question is does it harm your liver and there is no reliable scientific evidence that it does. However, you can find alot of propaganda that says it will hurt your liver.

Its kinda like global warming, do you believe your gov or the scientist?

 

Well maybe this will help, doctors now prescribe MJ, of course that isn't a garantee that it won't F-up your liver, cause half the shit they prescribe can and does. However, if your concern is along the lines will if affect my liver like alcohol does, history would say no. PPL been smoking ganja for thousands of years and to my knowledge no ones death has ever been medically attributed to pot.

 

i read in some independent study (dont have a link sorry, so im just basically giving an opinion) that weed is one of the least toxic substances known to man. If pesticides are sprayed on it im sure that would have to hurt your liver, if not other organs, especially over time. (mexican weed has a lot of pesticides and chemicals from the government and growers spraying the plants)

 

well i'm no guru on this, but as i understand when you smoke, your lungs absorb thc and other cannabinoids so you bypass your liver, but when you consume dosia orally (brownies,,) its goes through your liver. huge doses may probably do some damage, but probably only test lab rats probably get to get that high i have heard there is a lethal dose for hash oil btw,
