used the paper towel method in the sticky to germinate. Seed germinated in 24 hours and i planted it in soil. Does the light need to be on for sprouting to happen?
No, but I think it's a good idea anyway. The light will provide a bit of warmth to speed up the sprouting, and ideally the sprout should get light the moment it pops the surface so you can ensure that by having the light on and ready.
