Does changing a 24h cicle for 19/5 can make plants flower?

  1. I noticed that some of my plants started to show flowering signals. Should i change back to 24h?

  2. What schedule are they on now??

  3. 19/5

  4. Flowering signals?

Theyre probably just mature and showing sex.

Chuck a photo up so we know exactly what were talking about.

If there autos, then yea.. they may be in transition, a photoperiod tho will not be.

  5. Any lowering of the hours of light will trigger flower.
If you start on 24-0 stay on it till your ready to flower.
Been there done that. Have the shirt.

  6. Really? I never knew this mind ive never dropped my lighting schedule until flip.

  7. Nature changes so slowly that the plants are not affected until the hours fall past 14.5 around Aug 1st
Sudden changes more then the 3 minutes per day Nature does will trigger flower.

My veg space runs on 24-0 and while it works great the 3 off season grows it plays hell on my summer plants. They want to flower as soon as I set them out so I use a clamp light and a 25 watt CFL to keep them awake at night till the end of July.

I usually fire some new seeds in early or mid May and never expose them to inside lighting. These will veg till late July and flower normally in spots of the yard I can't light up.

  8. lol i was just bout to say it will stimulate the plant to flower as it would in nature. less hours gradually would imo probably stimulate flower quicker than drastic change to 12/12 but i dont think it would do anything positive to increase yield or taste or smell
