So when I was in the HS looking for a single chamber I saw a few of these: Obviously set up for concentrates. When I asked if they can be used for flowers I was told "No!" More than once. Even though the 16" tube DG's are set up exactly the same and require either the chimney adapter or a female slide. So my question is this, does anyone own a Microbub and/or hit one with flowers? Is it just that its smaller and doesn't have enough volume for smoke to cool or diffuse enough? And that concentrates don't need or require as much cooling and filtration. I'm kind of a bubbler style guy myself and was pretty bent on buying one of them once I saw it but I was told flat out no go for flowers. Is that correct or was I misinformed?
You were misinformed. Your LHS employees are hugely misinformed. Too many people think size is all that matters. The fritted disc kills errls.
I own one and only has it for flowers. It's my daily driver. I love how smooth it is. It works for errl but no we'll at all. For errl a simple is better
So you have smoked out of one? Or own one? I know enough myself that size doesn't mean anything. Bigger doesn't mean better and smaller doesn't mean worse. But the other part to the logic, of why I believed them, is that DG makes a chimney adapter for the 16" tubes(24mm to 18mm) but he doesn't make one for the Microbub ( 14mm to 14mm) which made me think that DG deemed it insufficient for flowers.

From my understanding the ones with the 24mm joint were made as convertibles for flowers and errls and the 18mm look to be for errls. He made the small fritted discs that fit on the 24mm joint to stop ash from getting in the main frit. He tried making Frits to fit onto the 18mm joint as well but they clogged too quickly. Either way even with an 18mm joint a carbon filter should keep it plenty clean enough
The fritter disk is terrible for oils. It gets clogged alot. I want one for flowers though. How much is a mini dg?

EDIT: I just realized I'm not supposed to post prices. Oops. You can PM me and we can talk. For what it's worth I love my 16" fritted for flower. But I love bubblers and bent necks, I'm less stoked about it being a straight-ish tube.
Edit: sorry for the double post. Shitty internet
Lol. I saw that. I was just gonna let it slide.

But on that subject, I've been putting carbon in the chimney adapter on top of the fritted ashcatcher disc. It holds almost as much carbon as my McFinn's. haha!
With something this small do you get any water splashing in your mouth, I was told not to get a smaller dg for this reason
With the perfect water level mine busts bubbles just before my mouth. It will stack the whole can when hitting and is very airy after the clear. I use a Mcfinns carbon filter on it and I can go a couple a day or two without cleaning. It is a convenient oil piece but not a good one. Never had mine clog I just blow iso through the downstem so it bubbles through the frit. I havnt hi a 16" but mine is around 11 or so and is perfect for travel and smoothness. Deffinatly a good pickup for just over 3 bills

Usually if I pull hard like I would on my other pieces. I actually got a bit in my mouth last night on a heavy milk pull lol.
