I was just wondering if anyone had any solid reasons as to why he took his own life. I must say I was truly shocked to hear about it. He was a great journalist.

I read that his family kinda saw it coming cause his heath had been declining for the last 10 years and he didn't want to be old, sick, and senile.
He died in a car crash and it wasn't his fault so I dont know how someone would get that opinion, though anything is possible

My personal beleieves is that he knew he lived his life the best possible way he could. He is a genius imo. I believe he did it because he knew it was his time to go.
my personal opinion was that his brain was jus totally fried n he was probably suffering from delusions n shit, if u've ever seen interviews with him he actually acts like he does in fear and loathing, all tweaking out n shit, so it wouldnt suprise me if he was jus tired of being insane he's one of my hero's for wat he's done in his life n his genius ideas n writings, so i'll miss his work dearly, me n him r the same kind of people, push shit to the edge at all times haha. hopefully i end up even half as genius as he was
