Does anyone else forget to cancel subscriptions?

Amazon did this to me after I cancelled the free trial.. them fucks took £80 but when I complained then cancelled I got £72 back lol

 

yea i got stuck with a year subscription to Skillshare. I've barely used it and I only have a month left. lol

 

Of course! That's why you got a deal.
It is part of the business model; "We know that 50% of our subscribers will forget to.....".

They lost money on the first year, but doubled down the following year(s).

 

I used to go through a similar suffering, myself.
DirecTV gave me several year-long 'discounts' that kept my monthly payments reasonable.
HOWEVER... I used to have to remember when each discount expired, call DirecTV, sit on hold, and request that they renew my discount... VERY annoying. In spite, every year the price crept up.
This year, I did my 'song & dance routine' and the price trickled up, again.
I drew the line at $70. They went as low as $75.
I no longer have DirecTV... after, what, 20 years?

 

Is that an offer?

I paid extra for 1 or 2 day shipping on an item a few months back, but the standard shipping cost money too so when it was 1 day late I complained and essentially got free shipping that was faster than the standard. Amazon makes so much fucking money they could send porn stars to your house to suck your cock if you aren't satisfied with a product or whatever and it would barely make a dent in their profits.

 

Half of the world forgets that's why they trick people with one month for 1 dollar. Now I just do the purchase and go straight to the candle screen to take off reoccurring billing.

 

I tried that. Unfortunately I'm so lacking in motivation I put off canceling until I forget. After a few months of paying for a service I never use the dick up my ass gets so uncomfortable it gives me the motivation I need to finally cancel.
