I am thinking back as he first started his career 2001-2008ish... his songs were meaningful, smooth, and wasn't overly glamorous. Now, he repeats a lot of words in the end of his verses like "boy" in Days in the East and "man" or "ninja" (you know what I mean). In his older songs, he wasn't doing this. It seems like he keeps writing crap now to bring in more money and the quality of his music is nowhere near where it used to be. For an example, listen to Brand New, Sooner Than Later, and Closer to my Dreams. Compare that to Started From the Bottom, and any recent songs he's done. I just don't see the appeal with him anymore sadly.
