  1. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duMDzxiSjbc]YouTube - WHY IS MARIJUANA ILLEGAL!!![/ame]

I'm sure y'all have put a lot of thought into this, I want to know your opinion on the matter.

  2. I just read this, it makes sense: "The government will never legalise weed. What would they do with all the empty prisons! They would have to lay off thousands of cops and then re-train the rest to actually fight real crime instead of spending all their time fucking with innocent people whom are merely minding their own business in pursuit of a buzz."

  3. Its quite obvious, really. Hemp wasnt as profitable as cotton or other textiles, plus having a relaxed/stoned nation would make it hard to get support for any wars, thus hurting that industry.

All in all, its about money. Its always about money. It will always be about money.

  4. hmm i cant put my finger on it but i think it has something to do with the downfall of us economy.

what's the number one cause of divorce ......weed

Not really its just a bunch of political bullshit and it won't be legalized for a while now hopefully while I'm still alive

  6. The only thing i can think of is the smear campaigns of the '30's it may have been the '20's though? there was a guy who had ALOT of money invested in timber and wanted to protect he investment, i think. dont quote me on that. have you ever seen Reefer Madness? it an older black and white film, and i love to watch it while high and just laugh my ass off. it also had alot of to do with ignorance at the time and the fear that it was probably the worst thing you could ever do in your life, so it was outlawed. what i dont understand is why all the most harmful things were allowed and a plant was then considered "illegal". but i think fear and ignorance played a very big role in it.

  7. Thats exactly what I've always thought, haha. Thanks, and I'll check out the money trail thing you mentioned.

  8. QFT, sir.

  10. lol i think he was speaking figuratively about the money trail. but yah he's definitely right about it.

  11. Here I was, thinking The Money Trail is a movie. :p

  12. @5:50

those political jackasses laughing at the study saying they were smoking while doing the study. They are just ignorant republican bastards who ignore studies and think cannabis kills brain cells, but drinking is healthy.

  13. i personally think tobacco and alcohol are the worst things you can do to your body( but i smoke cigs, i tried to quit) i think he who said its all about the money is right

  14. Weed was initially made illegal because hemp posed a legitimate threat to the timber industry (as it was a cheaper, easier, better source of pulp for making paper). Hemp's smokable, THC laden counterpart was made illegal because it brought into this country by Mexican immigrants, whom the powers that be sought to control. And what better may to manipulate and control people than to make their primary intoxicant illegal?

Today, weed remains a Schedule I drug because there is so much money to be made in keeping it illegal. From judges and police, to the pharmaceutical industry and alcohol manufacturers, everyone has something to lose from the legalization of weed.

  15. Ummmm. Other than what's on pineapple express. idk

  16. You are very much correct, and I will quote you on that ;)

You're thinking of William Randolf Hearst.

This is what he, and other beneficiaries of marijuana prohibition enjoy

  17. government wants power of money

  18. just gonna comment on ur thoughts..i think if it were about money it would be legal because they would make a killing off taxes and what not, and i think marijuana is more profitable then those textiles u stated, isnt it like americas numero uno cash crop?...i think it really goes back to how racist our nation really was and still is, its just more subtle about it now

  19. idk...i always thought that if we legalized weed it would help out the economy. The government could keep control over it and sell it, and if they kept the prices the same they would make assloads of money...no1 likes drug dealers anyway. Plus if weed was legalized police would have alot more time to do more important stuff...

  20. Not sure if you meant to say earthquakes in *Japan*
