Doctors In Illinois???

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by limephoxx, Sep 6, 2014.

  1. Hi, I'm in Illinois and I have Glaucoma and possibly RA. I asked my retinologist today if he would sign my certification paperwork and he said he wouldn't because of the stigma that comes from signing up as a prescribing doctor, but that if he hears from any doctor locally that they are signing the forms he'll let me know...

I keep seeing these "medicalmarijuanadoctors.com" and ILMMJ.COM websites that want payment for referrals to doctors and to "handle my case" well I'm totally capable of handling my case I have all my medical records and am over 60% done with my application. The only thing I really need but can't find is a doctor to just sign the dang form. I legitimately have glaucoma and have MOUNTAINS of paperwork to back it up. I also have Uveitis, Macular Degen, Cataracts and inflammation and joint pain. I just need someone to talk to who would like to be my doctor and isn't afraid of the marijuana stigma.

I live in the Northwest Suburbs of Illinois, in Cook County - north of Chicago. I'd be willing to go to the surrounding counties & city (have many times seen doctors in the city) to find a doctor to help me.

Any information anyone has would help me greatly. Also if this is posted in the wrong place/is innapropriate to post - please let me know I'm new and I don't know what is allowable. I'm just pretty desperate. I'm so tired of my glaucoma drops they are SO PAINFUL.

  2. Same boat here. Seems outside of oncology, Docs don't want to get involved in Illinois.

  3. It sounds like  you have all of the criteria to be prescribed marijuana. I mean people will weed helps with everything, but the truth is that it is most effective at treating certain problem, and high intraocular eye pressure is one of them (glaucoma)

I hope you find the resources you need to get your medicine.
