Just curious, it seems like I hear more "fml" and "my life sucks" than ever. Add in the economy and idk, it seems like happiness is a rarer commodity nowadays.
In my mind, I think that everyone in the world is happy except for me. But that's probably not the case. I agree with what you're saying...the world's a fucked up place. There are just some people who are able to accept their circumstances and deal with life. Wish I could be one of them.
Most people seem angry and upset.. (Occupy Wall Street...) But im Doing JUST fine Got my motorhome.. some good bud.. a good job... and a good job... dunno what else to ask for currently.
Probably not, I'm not but whatev I'll get by just fine in the end.. There is a certain girl named Mary that puts a smile on my face..
This. The numbers of people starving...in war zones...below the poverty line...toiling day in and out for their livelihood...there really can't be. But me...I am in general. I intend to keep it that way.
People should be more happy, but we aren't for whatever reason. So many good things actually happen in the day that we don't even take the time to recognize but as soon as a bad thing happens it's on your news feed. I was just watching a TED video on this. Maybe not this exact subject but it does shed a little light on the subject. I'll try to find it. Dan Gilbert asks, Why are we happy? | Video on TED.com I think that's it... if not ohwell I'm not gonna watch the whole video to find out, but it's still interesting I remember watching it. Edit: that is it. It just mainly goes into detail about how synthetic happiness is actually of greater or equal to the happiness material things can buy. When you're stuck with something you learn to love it, when you have a choice to choose something you learn to hate it. He explains his experiments to come to the conclusion too.
I don't think its simple happy or sad. There is no state of happiness it is when you are not searching for it that it comes to you.
People who get too caught up in our material world will end up not being happy..at least in my opinion. People need to just chill out and enjoy life for what it truly is, and not what the "media" portrays it as. Light up some green and watch some funny videos at rxnfaction.com ...guarenteed to lighten up your day!
No! Facebook is the main thing that could show you that. I read somewhere that america is filled with people who have underlying depression who don't seek to get help, which I believe from all the people I come in contact with and really talk to.. But I think it's just apart of life, can't be happy all the time lol.
Definitely not the majority, but I'm happy as fuck. I have no real complaints in my life, my only complaints are the stuff I've inflicted upon myself. Even then I don't have many complaints.
I haven't read a single post in this thread, but I am certain as my answer to this question... Sadly, the majority of humans are not happy. It causes deep, deep upset when I really ponder this. And what's worse? Each of us has the ability to change that for someone, and the majority of us don't.
The majority of the world ISN'T smoking weed.. And yes I understand you can be happy without weed.. But I also believe a lot of those unhappy frowns would be turned upside down with a little help from miss mary jane..
Some periods of time are better than others. I admire the people who find happiness through shitty circumstances.
whats even worse is endlessly going that extra step and never being noticed. but most days i am happy and havea smile on ma face.. but really, its forced. always figured i spent as much time/effort on sad as i do glad so just be positive.. but in reality, im in the shittiest position ive been in my entire life.. /rant lol
