Hello there. Going to take the plunge and start building my grow room . I was wondering if the size of wardrobe I have is too small. Dimensions are 1' deep by 2' wide, 6' high. If you guys think the space would be fine please could you suggest what type of lighting would suit me best . Would hps lighting be too intense.? Thanks for all your help.
For lighting you should use fluorescent because I think the smallest HPS reflector have more than 1 feet large.
I have 2 150 Watt HPS lights that are less than 1sq foot each. They are not grow lights, they are security lights and you can buy them at lowes for $80 I think they put out 15,000 lumens per 150 watts, plenty of light for your space, 1 would do it in my oppinion. They do get hot though, beware P.S. I would suggest only growing the plant to 1 foot tall in veg and then budding it, because really the growth time for the extra vegging won't be worth the yield. if u want to grow them really tall u can, i got a 32w 4ft dual bulb t8 floro fixture at lowes for $10, + another $10 for bulbs, works great...
mines smaller..but im using cfls..mines like 2 feet tall..but i have to have my lights coming down off clamps..so im rly running out of room im ganna have to tie my babys down
