I remember I would be scared of walking upstair from basement... also driving right next to huge truck on highway scared me too!
Those are pretty crazy & cool. But I was always afraid of carwishes as a kid. That and big bodies of water. And big machinery. Oh, and the vampire that lived in my den. But I think we're on good terms now.
People in costume used to trip me the fuck out. I hated clowns, I was terrified of sitting in Santa's lap, and when I had my 6th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's, I kicked that overgrown rat in the nuts. Halloween never bothered me though...weird.
me too ... i remember the first time my dad took me in a car wash i was screaming and shouting and shit, he said i was freaking the fuck out ... now i love them going through a car wash high is actually amazing....
Bugs and heights. Bugs still make me uneasy, but nothing serious... As far as heights? I got over that while working on buildings, and I actually came to love it. Nothing like being thirty stories high in the middle of downtown on a beautiful day...
I used to be terrified of spiders, one time I woke up in the middle of the night and was hallucinating that they were all over my bed crawling up towards me. I really don't know how that worked out, seeing as I had a tarantula when I was about 8 years old. We'd let him cling to our shirts or hats or whatever and take him to Dairy Queen... His name was Octane.
childhood fears.. hmm.. sharks- still scared of them. it was a lot worse when i was little and thought there were sharks in the pool... i surf when im at the beach and im fine until i randomly think about a a sharkk. once i had a slight panic attack wayy far from the beach. scary shit aliens- also still terrified of aliens. i knowwwww how absurd it is. but goddamn i when i was little i used to have crazy dreams about aliens landing. alien movies have always scared me. i think it all started with ET why did you let me watch that, mom!? spiders- i feel bad about killing anything, EXCEPT a spider. they trip me the fuck out other than that, im not scared of much lol edit:: i was scrolling up and saw that picture of chucky and was oh so pleasantly reminded how fuckign SCARED I AM OF DOLLS@#$^Q#!! when i was little i had dreams that my life size barbie came to life. still do have that dream every once in a while. the bitch is hidden in the garage. haha how sad, right? i also used to have this recurring dream about my blanket coming to life, and the lights not working and getting trapped in my room? i dunno i have insane dreams basically any inantimate object coming to life freaks me out hardcore.
of course..some of i still have. i am afraid of the dark. i was afraid of the boogieman and all similar stupid things. and one time while i was swimming my brother started making fun and freaked me out and i am still afraid to swim in deep waters. for reasons unknown i always think since then if i swim in deep waters something will bite me and eat me.(and this is simple stupid cause i live in greece. no ocean..although we do have a few dogfish in really deep waters) i also used top think that the mountains near my house were the jungle and wild animals lived there..(i was like 5..)
I guess no kids are scared of drowning. Ya know when you fall into a pool at night wearing all your clothes unsupervised and your 4 years old...... or maybe thats just me. Funny thing though, I'm lifeguard certified now.
i was very close to the sea since i was born.so drowning no.. but generally i am a little afraid of the sea.. the idea of not knowing whats in it or underyour feet cause u cant see if its too deep really scares me...childhood fear i still have.. but if u dont knw how to swim (which sounds logic for a kid) the idea of drowning i guess is scary
Yeah I almost drowned that night and was scared shitless until I learned to swim. I would like to think of myself now as a halfway there waterman. I can paddleboard, surf, kayak, free dive, scuba, etc all decently well. Free diving for lobsters = the most fun and peaceful thing you can do next to spear fishing. That is until the sharks come out to snack on your catch...
did i read sharks????(aaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!) no thanx..... free diving will be just fine without me..hehe....
Yeah that whole not knowing whats under you thing trips me the fuck out too. Especially in this lake close by. I guess like, gosh, idk how long ago it was..the mayor of the town dammed up this river and let the water flow all over the town to make this lake. So now there's literally farms, cars, fences, etc UNDERWATER. + the lake is murky as fuck. So when I was innertubing on a buddy's boat and I fell off and ended up in the water--deep as fuck--it's natural that I flipped my shit.
When I was around 5 or 6 I remember my dad though it would be funny to scare the crap out of me and hide behind the shower curtain and jump out at my while I was taking a leak...Im 20 years old now and to this day I still check behind the curtain whenever I go to drain the tanks.
