Do you play your instrument better or worse when high?

When I play trombone high, my tone gets way too bright and uncontrolled, but my technique seems to improve. I sound worse but play the technical shit better, and I don't know whats up with that. lol

 

i think i do but idk.. comes a point though where i get to high and don't wana move tho lol

 

If im by myself I play alot better. If im with other people then im terrible. I cant be creative if I'm scared of messing up apparently haha

This. I think I get better when I have a mild stone but sometimes I get so high I have no idea whats going on which doesn't help anything. Most drugs will enhance creativity though from the chemical interactions in your brain.

Edit: And I don't even try to learn new songs stoned. Theres no way i'll remember any of it the next day.

 

I get like that, just completely lose all tuning abilities

My creativity goes through the roof when I'm playing guitar stoned. The songs I create on the spot just blows my mind sometimes....too bad I can never remember wtf I just played half the time though.

I do feel that my playing gets sloppy at times though.

 

You are also high so that could be some of why it blows your mind lol

I can do better freestyle scratches when I'm high but I can never make it through a full planned out routine because I usually zone out and start freestyling.

I can produce way better tracks when I'm high. I'd say weed is the most important tool in my possession when it comes to production. I can find and place samples better. More creative and perceptive I guess.

I definitely play better. I play guitar and bass and drums...and damn it I wanna play them all at once when I'm baked!...but I can't so I jam when I can with my brothers. And I'm pretty sure they both smoke too (I know one does). I think a stoned jam might be cool with them.

 

haha this is true, but some of my best songs are branched from ideas when I'm high, so it all works out lol.

I also play with ALOT more emotion when I'm high. I can almost feel the music when I'm playing. I love it.

 

Depends on the instrument for me. Im obviously more creative high but my guitar playing does get sloppy. Bass is just an easier instrument to play so thats not bad. Drums i think im actually better. The ability to keep beats doesnt go away when im high so i can drum blazed out of my mind. I do get wilder on them when im high, i play less restricted and they just speak to me better when im stoned..

 

At first you don't as good, but once you've practiced a couple times high and get used to it you can really get into it! As others have said, you can really feel the music, it's great. Sometimes I like to vaporise before I head out busking, really makes for an interesting session.

I think getting high and playing your instrument of choice really lets you get to know it and let go a bit, try some new things out. But yeah, I definitely understand people saying how you feel the music more. I think I generally play better when I'm high...

better when im stoned. I enjoy it more so i get more involved, plus i get creative as hell when my mind is wondering in a wonderland of sound. Especially when im smoking out with some buddys and its a jam sesh.
