Do you look down on fat people?

  1. sometimes it just pisses me off when people are fat. SOMETIMES

  2. Only the first portion of that was from wikipedia, and guess what, they have sources of their own, so go check them out instead of trying to make yourself seem superior with the whole "it's from wikipedia" line.

I'm sure you can't be bothered to refute the truth.

I think all drugs should be legal, except for synthetic ones (aside from ones with proven medical implications). I'm sure I'm on a Marijuana forum but hate weed..

As far as damage to your body goes, at least when a crackhead goes to the hospital it doesn't take up to 3 people to move them around the place. And more people go to jail/prison for those things, they never get the chance for help/hospitalization. Well since you compared the two, perhaps we should send obese people to jail just to be fair?

Using marijuana doesn't hurt the economy; in case you have never known, or just forgot, the black market is an economy of it's own.

I don't recall trying to make people change their ways, only telling them that they are hurting themselves, but whatever, pretend I've argued points that I haven't, it makes no difference.

  3. You're right, if they stopped eating as much food it's not like it would go to starving people, BUT IT COULD. Once it's eaten, well, I'm sure even starving people have standards..

If all the obese people in the US ate 1800 to 2000 calories a day, I'm sure they'd survive just fine.

  4. Wow man, me too, i really hate how people in society look at me like i'm crazy when i suggest the legalisation of all drugs... On a side note i recommend this free book: Transform : TDPF

I never said you tried to make people change their ways, but you said you look down on them, ie you feel you are superior to them. All i'm saying is "No, i don't look down on anyone, regardless of size, sex, race etc. They've made their choice, and there's nothing i can do to stop it because its a personal decision."

Lets agree to disagree i guess.

  5. It's true, people just don't understand drugs and it makes them afraid. Too scared to even WANT to understand. Thanks for the link.

I only look down on their habit and how it affects others, not their personality. Although you could say habit can affect personality just as personality can affect habit.

In the essence of feeling superior, think about this: If I am fit, and they are not (assume majority for this example), then would I not be superior in a physical sense? Would that fact not grant me the feeling of superiority? In the same sense a genius would be superior to the average person mentally. We are so sensitive about the outside of our bodies that we constantly forget there's more than just that one aspect of them.

But this thread is about being overweight, let me not derail.

It is only natural to have a feeling of superiority to someone of lesser standing. That doesn't mean I don't want to help them become my equal, but until then, they aren't, and whether or not I pretend it so, it will affect my mental outlook of them in comparison to me. Everyone is making judgments about others in comparison to themselves, even without consciously thinking about it. I'm sure that half of the people who voted neutral could be split into a yes or no category, but might not have been able to make that decision "consciously".

  6. I've always been able to gain and lose weight very easily when I set my mind to it. I'm kind of biased on the subject, and I expect everyone to be able to change their bodies like I can to mine. Unfortunately, it's not as easy for some people. I tend to judge fat people as lazy or unintelligent, when it's not always true.

Being fat just caries a negative stigma in our current society.

  7. see, thats it. I lived in Odessa, ukraine. my hometown was founded in 1774. So yea i walked everywhere, or took public transortation. I could get anywhere i needed to within an hour. It wasn't a small town by any means, over 1 mil in population. Any time i go back, i just walk everywhere or take a cab if it's really late at night. All my buddies and the "downtown" area are at most an hour of walking away. It's great. I movede t o buffalo and it was the exact opposite. Never see people walking cars everywhere. Public transportation is a joke. That's why i love nyc. I'd never own a car there. Walking and subway/bus i'm good to go.

  8. wow dude, you sound like a tool with some of the shit you say. You really think you're better than me? You believe you're superior to me physically? Ok you can run a mile without getting short of breath, good for you. You got me beat. So if you're talking about being superior ONLY physically, then yea i could see your point. But that's where your superiority over a fat person stops.

  9. Only the Irish ones.

  10. Yes. That's all I'm gonna say.

  11. Coming from someone who used to be overweight, no not really. One day, I was tired of looking like how I did and starting running miles everyday, doing crunches, pushups, weight, eliminating shitty food, drinking water, basically changing everything about myself. I'm pretty skinny now, just working on toning my abs to get rid of the slight leftover flab :hello: Anyone can lose weight, my mom did the exact same thing I did and so did my dad. All of us are much healthier now as a result.

...And that's my Grand Casino story.

  12. Wow dude, you sound like you don't actually read, or know how to read. And btw, you don't know me, so you don't know where the hell my superiority starts or stops, get off your fat horse.

Now let me reiterate, read the bold this time.

If you are going to act like a fool when you post, I'm going to assume you are a fool. Nowhere in that do I pretend I'm smarter than any fat person. But since you want to act like that, here you go:

Obesity - Intelligence Test Score and Educational Level in Relation to BMI Changes and Obesity

Studies conducted in order to ascertain whether or not changes in BMI and obesity affected one's intelligence.

    This is a different study:

Btw, this is just another study, try not to take it too hard.

  13. You're simply overlooking the fact that genes do play a role in how a persons body is able to process and utilize nutrients. Saying that your food choices are what decides your metabolism is, frankly, idiotic. Although it may affect your bodies metabolism one way or another, the fact of the matter is that a very large part of a person's ability to gain or lose weight is decided by inherited genes. Honestly, I don't really like to judge people so if they are obese, I may feel sorry for them, but I don't see why anybody has a right to look down upon them just based on that fact alone. Why should a thin person be able to condescend to a much more successful overweight person simply because they are heavy. Personally, I have a perfectly healthy weight, yet I still find it sad how superficial a lot of you seem to be.

  14. I look down on people who look down on themselves.

  15. [IMG]

Who me? Look down on fat people? Nahhhh they're respectable ...

  16. Exactly. I don't look down on fat people, because, if didn't have such a fast metabolism, I'd probably be morbidly obese.

  17. ok i'm sorry for saying you SOUND like a tool. You just are a tool. I really don't give 2 shits about whatever research studies or whatever you find to try to prove whatever point it is you're trying to prove. Oh yea, you're better than everyone else. Good job.

  18. Luckily, almost everyone who smokes weed has somewhat faster metabolisms than they otherwise would have.

  19. Then don't be here, bye troll.

  20. Not really.

I look down on a society that breeds mindless consumerism, which includes fast food restaurants on every corner, constant advertising of unhealthy food, and of course, the fact that it's generally cheaper to get McDonald's than it is to get a healthy, well-balanced meal.

Yes, individuals need to take responsibility for their own health and well-being. But there needs to be accountability on the part of the huge, multi-billion dollar corporations that are profiting off of this, and the advertising companies that devise ways to make children want food that has NO nutritional value whatsoever.

That being said, the only time I look down on fat people is when I'm at work (I'm a server) and some huge lady sees me as her personal servant and keeps me running back to her table all night with multiple soda refills, extra sides of ranch, etc. "Do you really need that?" is all I keep thinking. But skinny people do this too, so whatevs.
