Doesn't surprise me honestly, we live in a sheep society where most people are looking for comfort through "supposed" commonalties or being told what/how to think by the social normies/news media. The state of the world (humanity) today is brain-dead. I believe things will have to get much worse (societal downfall) for peoples brains to turn back on. I honestly don't know to describe my thought process. I observe and consider possibilities of that moment with an open mind.
