Study finds alcohol doesn't kill off brain cells | News.com.au It sounded somewhat believable until they said you can create new neurons. I think it's bullshit. Neurons can't undergo mitosis. Neuroglial cells can. What are your opinions?
I drink a lot and I'm still pretty smart. I know a lot of dumbasses that drink a lot though, so I guess I could go either way on this.
They didn't really say they underwent mitosis, just said they were replenished. I don't know though, I'm not a biologist - but I take any breaking scientific study with a grain of salt until I've heard about other experts on the topic.
I've read a little bit more into it. They're claiming that there are stem cells in our brains that can become neurons even after we've stopped developing. I also read that cannabis actually stimulates this. Smoking weed gives you more brain cells. I'm not sure if I believe that yet, it's just what I've read so far.
Just stick with cannabis. It's healthy, and it's a soft drug. By the way, doesn't Grass City not allow posts on other drugs?
Learning and challenging your brain stimulates brain cells. I doubt weed does that. And i doubt alcohol helps either, it's a damn poison lol
