Have you been on this site very long? It's humor. It's not going to get me in trouble and not going to get your thread banned. Why does it matter if he's a son of Detroit or not?

Is Willard Romney a member here? I think we can insult him as long as we don't illegally threaten him or something like that. Shit, I've been dissing Willard and Obama for three years and I haven't been reprimanded for it.

Anyway, sometimes it's funny to think Willard's dad was a Mexican who was on welfare.

I don't associate Willard with Detroit in any way.

That wouldn't get your thread deleted FYI, and who's he "bullying"?

  7. hell no.. the Ds too broke for good ol' Willard

  8. I also thought it was a bit of an over reaction..

  9. I haven't been here long. I know it was humor, I was just responding back. Joking in sorts. It was a quote from the presidential debates, and it struck me as comical. The last thing I think of when I think of Romney is Detroit. The claim to being a 'Son of Detroit' was laugh worthy to me. When he continued with, "my father made cars" or something like that, I just shook my head. Granted, I've only read about Detroit and seen images. I could be wrong about my perception. That's why I want to know if GC posters thought Romney was a 'Son of Detroit.'

    Fortunate Son, yes.

    Son of Detroit, no.

  11. And no, he is not a son of Detroit.

  12. I don't consider 1%ers by birth "sons" of the cities they happened to be born and raised in.

They usually lived in wealthy suburbs outside of the cities rather than in the actual cities themselves. And even if they did live in the actual cities, they generally just confined themselves and their children to small, isolated upper class sections.

Detroit? I thought he was from Mexico?

According to Wiki I would say he's a son of Detroit.

  14. I'd probably idolize my father if he was a millionaire too

  15. Maybe, maybe not. There are PLENTY of rich/wealthy people who never idolized their parents. Hell, most of the time they are raised by nannies and not their parents.

  16. Hahaha Romney.. Detroit!?

That just reminds me of National Lampoon's "Vacation"..

The part when he stops in the ghetto to ask for directions.. :D

  17. Being from Michigan....no

  18. Mitt Romney is a son of Kolob.

  19. He is a son of a bitch if that counts.
