Just a question. Give your opinions why, or why not. When I was in high school the only way for me to get beer or cigs was to steal from my parents, but I never did that. Yet weed was always available to me all over school.
It depends on whether kids will wait outside of dispensaries, trying to pay someone to buy weed for them.
No responsible medical marijuana user is gonna buy weed for random kids. You can't get your "Beer buying license" taken away, but you can get your MMJ license taking away for doing this.
I remember in middle school we had morning announcements called 'channel 1' Well they showed a cancer patient vaping with this huge bag and I thought, it can't be that bad
No, why would it? I suppose it does make cannabis seem more "legal" and okay to use, but it doesn't make getting your hands on it any easier. Teenagers were passing joints around well before medical marijuana laws were introduced.
Well this is just 1 of the many arguments of why it shouldn't be legalized federally... or in other states.
People think that if its legal its easier for teens to get their hands on which isn't the case at all... Just more excuses
It's hard to say if availability would go up or down. In any case, it has more potential to go down than up, since availability is already at an all-time high in schools. If the dispensary has a brain, they'll call the cops on the kid since he's loitering in front of their business and harassing their customers.
I voted yes, but I don't think it's because it makes it easier for teens to get weed. Any 18 or 19 year old who would go through the trouble of getting a medical card and paying all the necessary fees, possibly faking medical symptoms along the way, was already smoking. But I do think that, by legalizing medical use of marijuana, society is becoming more accepting of marijuana use, and that could increase teen usage.
