http://cgi.ebay.com/Fluorex-Grow-Li...0QQihZ020QQcategoryZ46308QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem if theyre good i was gonna buy two of them for a plant or two.
If you want to grow 1-2 plants, then buy a couple of those lights. When you want to begin flowering, go to homedepot and get 2700k bulbs for like 6 bucks each, and youre mint.
No 6400-6500k for veg like you show. Dont let the wattage fool you, they are very bright... dont believe that lumen count is very accurate at all, i have 4 of these in my closet and they are WAY brighter than the 10 flourescent tubes of 40 watts each wich was 30,500lumens. So taking just what i see by the naked eye if it was the same amount of light as the tubes 4 of them should be around 7600 lumens each, which is very close to what my bulbs say which is 8200 lumens (mine is by Designers Edge outdoor security light) for 65w incandescent / 500w flourescent equivalent. for 10 plants in up to 8 inch pots idont see why you would need more than 2
Right now I have 6 X 2700K CFL's and 2 X 4100K CFL's. I use these only for the first and second week of veg. Would be ok? These 6500K lamp would be enough for 8-10 plants during the for 3 weeks of them life instead my CFL's?
those you are looking at is very good for anything you want to do, be it new seedlings or full grown plants. your 2 x 2 flourescents is not enough for 10 plants.
Cool! I will continu with my CFL's and I will buy these fluorescent lamp for the veg of my next grow! 1 lamp like in this auction would be ok for my 8 small plant for about 2-3 weeks? It will cover them all?
I read up on these and they are made by lights of america and sold as security lamps for outdoors but look like a good buy. although i dont know if it comes with a standard plug or loose wiring and you need to wire it yourself?
At my local growing shop they say that CFL are very weak for growing. They only have white and green light in them. Normal fluorescent is much better.
sounds like theyre trying to sell you their product. CFL just means compact flourescent. they dont only have white and green in them. whoever made that statement is an ass.
those are only 65 watts. i had 42 watt bulbs i used 4 of those and got shit results. just go for the hps off insidesun.com
I'm agree! I have 4 X 2700K and 2 X 4100K right now and they seem to like it. I'm sure that these fluorex light would be much better though! In a hydro show near here they sell 125W 6400K compact fluorescent with reflector for 55$. I think I will buy this lamp and I will use the 2700K CFL's during flowering to complete the HPS.
Tell them to go learn something or have them visit this site and see the multiple grows with clf only, and thats the shitty clf's not what this guy is buying. And for their information Daylight clf = 6500K temperature (same as MH) and Warm white is 3400K (same as hps).. like i said tell them to put a sock in it. Sales must be really bad for the HID people since t5's came out
No what you had was 42 watt Equivalent, which is like 16 watts flourescent, please dont mix the 2 up. these are 65w flourescent 300w equivalent.
My CFL are 23 watts 100 watts equivalent and have 1600 luemns each. The only thing is they are 2700K! Which is not very good for veg state. I will order 6 of these CFL's! They are 30 watts / 1900 lumens each / 6500K http://www.naturallighting.com/order/store.php?crn=617&rn=2827&action=show_detail The fluorex light is cool but I would need 3 of them to cover my 7 plants in 6 inchs pot. I like when the light is directly over the plants. I will replace my 2700K by these 6500K! Bright move? Will be as effective as these fluorex lamp? You can see my setup in my sig. Every plants have 1 CFL each directly over them. I think its good if I don't want them to stretched. steeve
