do i need to use a contactor relay for a 600 watt hps sodium light or can i just use it with a timer only until i can afford to purchase a contactor need help asap pls thanx..
I use timers with 1000w ballast and it works just fine for me. So I think you will be ok with just using a timer.
we also are using a timer with a 1000w MH light with a ballast and its working fine i don't think a contractor is needed
