do i need an intake fan?

    i was wondering if i have a 4" carbon filter with a 4" intake fan for the carbon filter would i need a seperate intake fan for fresh air?

    Depends on how strong the fan is and the size of your area.

    my grow tent is 4 feet long,2 feet wide,and 5 feet tall.the carbon filter is like way more cfms than my grow tent

    What still puzzles me if your on having one part open at the bottom for air intake instead of a fan(like i am) how are you going to deal with light pollution?

    o i know what your talking about umm get a intake fan because light leakage will fuck up everything

    Take a piece of ducting, out it through the intake hole bend it 90* in 2 places on each end one aiming up and the other end aiming down and you wont get any light pollution.

    I have a 4'x4'x6'9" tent with just a 179cfm high velocity fan with a carbon filter as the exhaust and 2 passive intakes with jusst ducting to prevent light leaks and I have no issues and good ventillation.
