Ok well i'm on a budget so I decided to research about homemade carbon filters. I've found some plans on how to build some, but has anyone actually made one and do they work? I'm planning on building on to use during flowering in my cab grow. I'll be using a 4" inline fan as well. Thanks
http://www.gardenscure.com/420/security/60127-ryoko-builds-diy-activated-carbon-filter.html Its too small, he mounted it in a pretty poor place. and used far to FINE of a screen.... Ive seen plenty others that are far better but none with the basics spelled out more detailed then this... I made one similiar to this stitching together filters and then wrapping the whole thing in the batting it stands at 5 feet tall at 2.2 foot diameter and uses a secondary core filled with activated carbon.(easy as adding a slightly larger screen around a slightly larger flange.
I found this http://www.gardenscure.com/420/security/117667-best-diy-ez-walmart-carbon-filter.html looks cheap and effective.
