Do hairs = flowering?

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by FatSlob, Aug 1, 2013.

  1. I thought my babies were flowering. They have hairs on them. White with like brownies tips coming out everywhere.

But my friend who is a more experienced grower said they aren't flowering. He said they are just getting close and thats a sign but they have about two more weeks.

I just need to know when i should start adding tiger bloom and stop adding grow big.

  2.
Not trying to sound like a dick, but you're growing, and haven't learned when flower begins yet?

Sounds like you need to do some reading... Gotta research and plan if you want a nice harvest.

... if you can't answer my question then why are you posting? I know when flowering starts. I know what flowering is. I was under the impression that you should start to feed flowering nutes when you saw hairs. My friend says to wait a couple more weeks.

I want an opinion from an experienced grower.

I've done plenty of research and i know exactly what i'm doing. And btw i figured out that they are still vegging. Something that you obviously didn't know.

  4. Man, you're so cool. Trash talkin probably one of the most helpful, level headed blades out there... You're such a fat slob haha.

Anyway, yeah a mature plant can have hairs, just showing its sex before getting into flower. Seems like you got your answer though.

I'd try and not be such a douche too, people like that don't last in the city very long. Just gotta take shit with a grain of salt my man.

  5. I'm not trash talking. Simply pointing out facts.

  6. If you google "Fox Farms feeding schedule" It gives a good general idea of when to feed their fertilizers. Big Bloom can be fed after several weeks of vegging all the way through harvest. They recommend Tiger Bloom at about 5 weeks through harvest. I don't feed quite as much as they recommend, but I think it's a pretty good guide. Good luck!

Sorry but this is beginners forum, anyone sounding like a dick is him.

Maybe he thought it was pre-flowering, maybe he's new and not confident in what he's looking at.

Kind of sad to see a response like that here.

  8. Yea you are right. I found the answer after like 2 seconds of researching i really should have just googled it. Sorry i get irritated easily when i don't smoke.

  9.
While searching Google may result in answers to questions that we all have, would it not be more prudent to use the GC search function to look for answers pertaining to cannabis cultivation?  This way the same question does not have to be answered over and over again.

    Good luck, Fatty.
