Just wondering if the flowers(the actual buds)require direct light to grow? I know some people remove fan leaves that shade flowers. Is this necessary or does all growth generate from light hitting the leaves?
Appreciate the reply but I guess I was unclear. The leaves I understand to require light for their part in photosynthesis. As the means of sexual reproduction, the flowers are a bit different. Do the flowers themselves use the light?
I'm pretty sure they do because people defoliate so their buds can get more light, the more light, the fatter the buds- mostly.
Thanks kusheclair - looked a bit more and found this has been discussed more in depth: What more Important? Light on bud or light on leaf?
