Do edibles go bad?

    I have some edibles. I know that the food itself will eventually go bad and get stale, but will they lose their potency? how long does that take?

    Edit: They are firecrackers, btw.

    about 4-6 months if stored improperly. if sealed and refrigerated or frozen the potency wont go away for about a year.
