hey guys i have a possibly newbie question but here goes. I got a 6 pack of Lemon Og from DNA Genetics I vegged them along some Reserva Privada Headband and Og#18 for about 45 days . (prolly 2 weeks too much) Got all the seeds from the tude so figured they would be fresh. So I split up the strains into differnent tents. In one tent (flowered for 2 weeks) all the reserva privadas Headbands hermied and all the Dna genetics Lemog og hermied aswell, and possibly an og #18. I was thinking it had to be a light leak even though I doubt but it could of been . But in the other tent by 2 week flower) I also had one lemon og dna hermie on me. NO light leak what so ever in the other tent. All the other strains that were not Reserva or DNA seem fine. Could it be that the strains are unstable. I have read awesome stuff about both breeders but lately I have heard of hermie issues. Any info would be help, maybe I did something wrong. trimmed the plants to much, possible light leak? Just dont know why only those strains hermied. The other 4 seem fine. Headband and og#18 were both the UFO Freebies ones maybe thats a reason 600 watt hps 400 watt MH temp 74-75 lights on 74-75 lights on 69-70 off 69-70 off humidity both rooms 25%
are the ufo freebies more prone to hermie issues? old stock maybe. Alot of other threads have similar problems? I have had some bomb Reserva before and had high hopes. I will try again and make sure to cover all my bases just to distinguish if it was me or the genetics.
Thanks for the reply Wharfrat74 and Thunder_Fuck I agree I could of done things different for sure, but I learned the hard way most definetely HAHA!! I have an og#18 and a Blue OG that seem ok.(2 weeks in flower) The Blue OG For sure is a FEM, but the #18 I will watch a bit more. I see White Pistols, but the calyxes look swollen, and most of the calyxes have lil white pistols comin out. THe hermied plants had little tiny balls where the fems have swollen calyxes with white pistols. So hopefully the #18 comes through. I have another room that all seem good and fems, 5 total. They are in the 1.5 week of flower/sex stage. Once I know for sure they are fems, do u guys see any problem putting all 6plants together in the big flower room. Should I clean the walls trays etc. I am not so sure the plants were old enough to pollinate the room but not sure. Again Thanks for the input, and feel free to answer back. PEACE!!!
Its kind of confusing distinguishing the males, when some of the females get swollen calyxes. It seems u have to really wait out the 2 weeks to be sure. I had never had a male plant, nothing but fems and clones so far. SO I knew right away something was up when I saw the lil balls appearing. HAHA
