Hello, I'm DJ GlowBotnik and I was wondering if anyone on here knew how much power a beginning DJ's first PA system should have? I know it sounds noob but I've been playing a few partys around here with some surround sound speakers and they just don't cut it. Any advice appreciated . Oh P.S. Anyone DJ's out there in Qberts Skratch University? I've been looking into it and could use some info, thanks.
How big are the places you're DJing? If they're house parties, smaller places like that, then a few hundred watts should be good.
Not big, mostly so far it's been people's house parties and a few local bars. I was looking at one that had 200 watts is that enough? I want me and the crowd to feel the bass atleast alittle. (I play alot of dance/house music).
