I've been doing a bit of research on this and have found a number of recipes, which have all left me VERY confused. HELP! Some say to break up the buds. Others say to grind them. Some say to decarb the buds first in the oven, then heat up in PG/VG. Others say to decarb the finished liquid at the end for 30 minutes at 220℉(105℃) Some even say decarb is not needed as the conversion to THC will happen while you vape. Some say to use vegetable oil in the double boiler. Others say water. Some say to heat the bud + PG/VG mix in a double boiler for 1-2 hours. Others say 3-4 hours. Some say to boil for one hour, strain, reuse the buds, repeat. Others say to keep heating up the same mix. Some say you must keep the temperature of the outer pot at 220℉(105℃) and the temperature of the bud + PG/VG mix at 180℉(85℃) the entire time. Others say just keep the bud + PG/VG mix at around 175℉(80℃). What are your thoughts? What is a MUST and what is OPTIONAL? TY!
Decarboxylation is only needed for Edibles and Oral Tincture. Combustion and Vaping are both hot enough to instantly decarb as it's heated and inhaled. RSO tends to be very dirty with lots of Chlorophyll picked up. I make RSO from the scraps left from shaking my buds for the Kief. The RSO is nasty stuff. Looks like, Smells like, Tastes like, Roofing tar. It's ass kicking but my god is it gross stuff. I fill capsules with it for my neighbor with Cancer. It's kept him alive well past his expiration date. BNW

Heating up a mixture of substances known to be poisonous when inhaled, including propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin, and then inhaling the mixture as an aerosol, is not a safe behaviour. Good luck I hope you can understand what it is exactly you're trying to do.
Dude.........are you being serious? You have access to google and a few minutes you can find ALL the answers you seek.
PG = yes. VG = no. I can't find any peer-reviewed studies that show that vaping pure VG is dangerous. In any case, thanks for your advice, but I know what I'm doing.
