diy co2

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by joebechill, Jun 11, 2019.

  1. Has anyone ever used the co2 trick using baking soda and vinegar?
    Any other diy co2 methods?
The best co2 products on the market?
I know about exhale and TnB naturals.

Anything helps ! I think i needed a supplementary co2 system for my last grow and that didn’t happen. That’s why i’m planning on using one now for my new grow... thanks.

  3. Fair warning most of these methods raise your RH. To get any significant raise in Co2 you are also going to get a significant rise in RH. Can be good or bad depending on your situation. Personally I bought an exhale Co2 bag off amazon. It work but creates very uneven production of Co2; that being said it did cure tacking from excessive light at the top of the canopy.

I know production is uneven b/c tacing returned at week 6, then I moved the contents of the Co2 bag around and it went away again.

  4. ok my dude . 5 gallons of water 2.5 pounds of sugar . 3 bags of ACTIVE YEAST . produce co for 7 days.
your trick produces co2 for seconds

  5. If you have an exhaust fan, it sucks out co2 faster than it can be produced.
co2 is only useful in a closed, un-vented system.
And those co2 bags do little, according to my co2 meter.

  6. I’m in a 4x4 unsealed with a vent fan and can observe very noticeable increase in water consumption and increased heat tolerance with a CO2 bag. The plants don’t lie. Also RH jumps about 15% with the exhale bag going

  7. Tried it got mold from the yeast and baking soda method - I will only use exhale bags going forward

  8. All that matters is whether co2 concentration is increased by a co2 bag (or any diy equivalent) in a vented tent.
    Humidity is immaterial.
My co2 meter is unequivocal: co2 bags produce no noticeable co2 increase.

  9. if you worried about mold then get a 5 pound bag of flower mix it to its soft along with active yeast let it sit . idk how long it will keep making co2 likely until its drys up

  10. In my 4x8 tent I ran two Exhale bags on a 50 % overlap rotation to get a higher average and had these numbers from my CO2 recorder before I broke the connection to my PC... Lights on 8am and off 8pm ...the bags produce, it builds overnight and the and you can see the plants use it.
