Diy 8" inline fan cheap

  1. Parts needed:

    8 x 10" reducer duct piece. $6 at hd
    Duct tape $2.50
    10" fan $5 at a goodwill there $15 new @ hd

    Tools:
    Razor blade
    Philips screwdriver
    Drill with 1/4 bit
    Sharpe
    Beer

    find the cover for the Philip screws on the sides.

    Pull off screw cover and unscrew the two philips screws. One on each side.

    cut some of the fins off on the back of the fan that restrict airflow.

    Aline the fan on the ducting reducer and mark where you need to drill on each side. Remove fan. Drill a hole on each side.

    Turn the fan on highest setting.

    Put the fan in the ducting reducer and screw in the fan with the factory screws.

    Duct tape the reducer and fan for a good seal.

    Drink beer
