Hi, I am installing 3 (for a total of 4) magnum xxxl 8" hoods. What is a good distance between hoods to keep light coverage good between them? I was thinking 10". They have 1000w bulbs in them. I'm putting them in 2 rows of 2. Thoughts? w00
Is take a straight edge and find the angle in which the hoods are reflecting. Then just make sure to overlap a bit. With my raptor hoods I keep them 10 inchs apart. Depends on the angle of ur hood tho.
Just a thought... If you can drop em pretty far, take em down to however high you want to be off your canopy (2-3 ft with 1000w IIRC?) and turn them on. Move the lights together until there's a consistent brightness straight across... and that's your measurement.
