Discreet my ass

    Well, today I received my Molino Hurricane Spoon from GC. I had read everything would be shipped discreetly, however I was surprised to find a brown box covered in orange tape that read fragile. Instantly my attention was drawn. I looked at the labeling on the top of the package, which had been stamped by customs and it read "Glass Pipe" quite plainly on the front of the box. Let me just say there is nothing discreet about this at all.

    I do still live with my parents, but being normal american parents they do not wish me to smoke. I haven't been confronted yet by them, but I'm sure tonight will be hell.

    That sucks man, my parents also don't condone my smoking.

    At least you have that beautiful glass pipe.

    Yeah, it's definately a nice piece...I was just amazed at how opposite of "discreet" the box looked sitting on my kitchen table. I mean there was border/customs stamps all over and the thing was covered in bright orange tape. If that wasn't bad enough...they even listed the approximate price value of the piece along with "glass pipe" on the outside of the box.

    So far I've been lucky, as I removed the box quickly when I got home today and threw the box away. Neither of my parents asked me about it though, so hopefully I'll be in the clear. I'm starting to think they know I smoke, but choose to leave the situation alone unless I get into trouble (which I never have before). I'm 100% certain one of them checked the box when bringing it into the house today.....oh well I guess....

    By the way, anyone thinking of ordering from GC in the states...be aware that I placed my order on the 10th and have now just received my package on the 26th so you'll need to have some ample waiting time available.

    That wasn't put on there by grasscity. Orange tape is customs tape.

    Your package was probably flagged as suspicious so they seized/searched it and found nothing illegal, taped it back up.

    Yeah thats what i think, it was customs that put that on there not GC, email them and find out.

    The Shop wasn't responsible for that. Customs took that package over, no doubt. The Shop would never use orange tape and they are always discreet about what they declare is in the box.

    Yup, custom's a bitch.

    Grass City does ship discretly as far as I know. I orderd Salvia leaves, and it came in a white box reading a return address in french or something, and on the "included items" list, it said "Tea Leaves". My family knows that I'm a huge tea drinker, so it worked out perfect.

    Also, I live in Michigan; ordered on the 10th, and it was here on the 20th. Not too long of a waiting period, in my opinion.

    probably glass ornament, that's what i've seen before from other places.

    of course.

    i just fill my bongs with water, ice them up....and then i look at how cool they look.

    the i empty them and put them away until i feel like looking at them again. :D

    Mines filled with jelly beans and assorted hard candy. It's not a very good candy dish though, it's got a hole in the bottom-half! :mad:

    Yeah, it's all good...just wanted to provide a heads up to those thinking of buying a piece here. I should have taken a picture of that box, oh man! Customs sure had some fun with it.

    The spoon hits amazing, definately worth the purchase. Thanks GC.
    By the way, parents never brought it up...so hopefully I'm in the clear :smoking:

    Yeah my package went through customes and they labled everything inside on the front:

    Rolling Paper
    Brass Filter
    Tea Leaves (They label Salvia this)

    It was even better when I got my pipe:
    Glass Pipe
    420 sticker
    Inside had a piece of paper saying: "For tabacco use only", which it right next to my marijuana sticker...
