Have 4 short squat plants that could benefit stretching before flip and during transition. They are growing at a good paste but are still 3 inches tall with 5 nodes, topped, with good branching out. Is it be better to dim or raise the light to promote a lill stretch? Currently under 300w QB at 24 inches.
Thanks soso and Trojan! A good Par meter is the next missing piece in my puzzle. ATM I don't have nothing to measure light intensity besides manufacturer's and youtube (migro is a good chanel) PAR maps. Plants are in a 4x4 under an HLG 325max and 240w kingbrite qb, both at opposite ends and both dimmed at about 40%.
For me the light remote with a dimmer is a must have. If it were easier for me, I would raise & lower the light, AND use the dimmer esp for young auto's. To ans your ? IDK, for your grow site & your plants??? try it find out & let us know.
I think I'm over thinking lol. I try to figure it out with my human brain and eyes! under the light, a person could feel that intensity is stronger as getting closer to the light, then *promoting* to get closer... Does a plant live like that does it feel the intensity even from further away or is it just the light available that matters? It would make more sense. But indoor we're replicating mother nature outside sun is strong and far away... IDK !!! ?
in time you may note the plant will stretch itself for the first 2 weeks of 12x12, unless you have a good reason, re- issue with light kelvin being wrong color, you are best to stop playing and direct you energies in more profitable areas good luck
the Photone app on your phone works well i just found out about it myself and realized i was giving TOO much light my last few grows and my plants suffered because of it Killed of the terpenes for sure
Auto's??? I had a real issue with the strawberry nuggets being so dense with short internode spacing, that the branches had to be manually separated/untangled from each other. Maybe that's why they were so short??? Those training clips are really helping me to open the plants up & develop the lateral growth from the branches, which should help increase the yield???
Thats just how Strawberry nuggets grows. I think you did a masterful job, especially not knowing what to expect. The reward is that wonderful bud! Cheers Os
I got a lite meter for last grow, increased my grow by 1/3. I put coasters under all my sip trays and rotated them a little every week. And my plants got hit by tree grasshoppers, by they were saved with ipm' s.
little fuckers! At last they could try to help working together on pruning a few old fan leafs ..just sayin' ya know. bitches
I hear ya, I used to grow full inside , but, now I put girls out first week of june, bring in on Sept 30,harvest fist weeks in Nov. I scrogged inside for years, it's a little more work outside for twice as much for me at least.
always use the dimmer, never trust you eyes as with light, human eyes are so easy fooled, trust the dimmer
Yeah I stopped giving it out so much, Too many people started expecting it,lol my tolerance is still up there, I Did the cancer rso treatment years ago, gram of rso every day, I have a high tolerance You need to build up your tolerance , even eating it raw is good for us
I lost a crop a while back & cut people loose, no hard feelings all around. I do enjoy watching peoples eyes widen when I give them some. I prefer barter vs cash so I price it 1/2 what the dispensary gets worth of bartered goods. A 25$ gift card for an ounce is an insult & makes me feel taken for granted. They are enjoying full dispensary prices now.
