Whats happening? New here and have lurked for some time. Got a lot of good info from here and another forum. I have finally had time to start this grow journal and am excited to share it! I'm getting my reservoir waters ph ready before I begin germinating my girls. I will post more pics once I begin the germination process. Here is my setup: Closet Grow Specs: -(3) 12" Clamp Light reflectors. -(2) 120w 5500k Sylvania Halogen Flood Lights -(1) 100w 6000k CFL -Stealth Hydro Kit - (6) 4" netpots -Air Pump -160 gal/h Water Pump -Air Pump -5 feet of airline tubing - Roll of Mylar Seeds: - Bubblelicious feminized (Nirvana-Shop) - BlackJack feminized (Nirvana-Shop) Nutes: - Fox farm grow big (specially formulated for hydrophoncis) - Fox Farm Big Bloom - Liquid Karma - SuperThrive Stuff: - PH Test Kit - PH Up liquid - PH Down liquid -Hydroton Rocks -(10) 4" Rockwool Cubes -(2) Air Bubblers
So I got my SH system all configured and I ran cool tap water into my reservior yesterday morning. I have really hard water and my PH test reflects that.
After using a few drops of PH down concentrate, and waiting a few minutes I tested again. I dropped PH from 7.0 to about 6ish. Still to high for my babies. So i repeated the PH down steps.
Alright, Ive got my PH where I want it to be. Roughly 5.8 ish to my eye. Thats all for today I ll post more when germination begins. Let me know what you guys think. Am I on the right track? Thanks for any help/suggestions! Cheers!
Well - 3/2 - I had to come to the painful realization that my Black jack seeds wouldn't pop. The bubbleicious was performing the strongest. and i decided to remove the dud blackjack seeds.
Well, This from this pic, you'd think everything was all and well.... just days later 2 of my babies. the site in the middle aka "BL-B" literally keeled over and died!!!! From the initial investigation of the scene of the accident, i got really shitty root rot at the base of the damn rock wool cube and the fucker got blew over by my humidifier fan. I removed the dead/dying plants and changed my resi. (the 3rd time since planting on feb 5) I added some super-thrive and liquid karma and the remaining plant is flourishing! I noticed a little THC forming on the leaves and branches from the dead plants already so i decided to set it out to dry and smoked it. OMG i was surprised from the buzz i got.
