Digital ballast

    I got an amazing deal on a magnum XXL and hortlux bulb from a friend for $60 . The bulb is a 400W. I have a 4x4 tent and wanna run 600W.
     
    So my question is can I buy a digital ballast and tuen it down to 50% and run the 400W then change the bulb for flowering and turn it up to 100% and get the 600W for flowering?
     
    If anyone knows of a ballast that can do that can you please recommend it

    Yes you can but dimmers are a waste of time. crank it up.

    No one will use the dimmer.

    So can I buy a Dimmable 600Watt and dim it to 400Watt and be OK?

    I bought a 1000watt digital dim able ballast and it's at 50% running my 400watt hortilux bulb. So anyone looking to answer this question YES you can I had 2 hydro shops tell me No won't turn on. The guy at the light shop said Diffrent and sold it for $150 out the door 5 year warranty

    I run a 1000w digital Ballast you need digital bulb made for ballast I can switch 400 for veg 600 to flower and the 1000 to bring it home the last 3 weeks b4 harvest. Its awesome because in veg and early flower I'm not wasting much of the electricity and running up the bill lol :)

    oh yea I'm doing D.W.C. in 5 x 5 tent 5gallon buckets.
