Different rips

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Trap Shooter, Jun 21, 2019.

  1. I'm sure this has been asked before, so sorry. I've been wondering this for a while. Why do some rips seem so much stronger than others? In other words, I'll take a hit, go about my business, come back, take another, and whoa! It hit me harder than the time before. And it's all out of the same batch. Sometimes it just seems to hit harder than other times. I'm thinking it has to do with different body metabolism during the day, you know, like maybe blood sugar is different at different times of the day or something like that. I don't toke a lot in one day, and only one hit at a time every 45 mins to an hour or so. Any comments?

  2. Unless you're diabetic your blood sugar remains pretty constant despite what people think.

  3. Is that due to fairly frequent development of hyperglycemia along with the diabetic condition?

  4. Our pancreas releases insulin to maintain a constant blood sugar level. With diabetes insulin either isn't released appropriately or it doesn't have it's intended effect. That's what causes periods of hyper or hypoglycemia. Those of us with normally functioning bodies hardly ever get a low blood sugar level, even when we don't eat for extended periods. When you hear someone say they have to eat or they get hypoglycemic you can bet they don't actually get a low blood sugar, they may think it sounds reasonable but actually it's silly. Hypoglycemia as a condition is quite rare.
