Different music tastes when i'm ripped. Anyone else?

I've been a guitar player for a solid 10 years, so naturally i'm much more rock/ blues oriented. But anytime I get nice and messed up there's nothing I love more than some gangster ass rap(biggie, 2pac, NWA). I always smoke up at the apartment then take a cigarette drive around the neighborhood and blare some old shit. I definitely appreciate any genre of music, but my preference definitely changes as soon as I spark that bowl of chronic. Anybody else get the same way?
