Differences in shwag/dank

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by crawford, Jan 12, 2010.

  1. What causes the differences in how good weed is? How its grown? I know there are different strains but I'm curious as to why someone would grow shwag when they could be growing better stuff. Is it just that they do a shitty job while growing it?

  2. Some has to do with the way it is grown. Some has to do with the way it is treated. Some has to do with where it is grown. Some has to do with the type of seeds; schwagg is schwagg and hydro is hydro. It is a species. Some have more THC content then others. Factors above play into getting more or less though.

  3. Schwag/mids=$ because they grow a lot of it and dealers get it really cheap, and then they sell it for twice as much. Dank is generally grown on a smaller scale, and is easier to tend to, and its easier to grow high class strains.

  4. Why would someone grow shwag then?

  5. Why not? People buy it. There's money to be made with it. You get to grow it in more quantity, sell it in more quantity, and, therefore, come out with more profit.

  6. When the female is pollinated, it puts most of it's energy into making seeds and less in making THC. When the female is not pollinated, that bitch puts more energy in THC production.

Theres more to it than that but thats a simple version.

  7. Schwag is grown outdoors in Mexico in mass quantities? then bricked and sent to u.s

Dank is (usually?) grown indoors and tended to by the grower frequently. They make sure that no males get up in there so dank doesnt have (many) seeds because no males can pollenate it. Growers also use ferts and stuff that give ideal conditions for the plant.

  8. Long story short. There are 2 main ways of growing weed for money.

1)Indoor/greenhouse/backyard grows where guys feel safe and have lots of time to spend on their plants, but only have a small area they can use. They take immaculate care of it and make every gram worth a lot of money.

    2) Plant seeds scattered across somewhere very remote where nobody will find you. Do what tending you can when you can make it out there. There is lots of space, but the time and access to plants is very limited. So sometimes males burst and pollenate it. Or it gets cut down too early because the grower isn't going to hike out there again or leave it to get stolen in harvest season. The plants have to compete with native vegetation, deal with bad weather, etc. So you get more of it but it's of less quality.

The larger, and more remote the operation, usually the crappier the final product. So if it came from a huge field on a mountain in southern mexico it's probably not going to looks as good as one that was indoors in it's own hydro bucket in san francisco.

  9. This is something alot of people don't know (at least where i live) its not the strain really at all, its the way its treated and grown. Schwag is for lazy people who throw a seed outside and come back a few monthes later and harvest probably drying it in a toaster oven or a microwave, turning it into schwag. Mids are outdoor grown where the person tried but failed, and did not create sinsmilla or havested to early/late, usaully being dried normally but sometimes can there for to little, skipping curing, or having some mold.
Danks people do a nice and decent job and know what there doing, usaully indoors. Those other name strains i dont trust being anyone can throw a name on it. In conclusion, schwag is for lazy growers, mids is for dumb growers, and danks is for good growers. Strain name can only help a few things 1. Height 2. Yield 3. Flowering Period 4.Indica/Sativa 5.(Sometimes) Smell
