Yesterday I popped a single 30 mg Adderall XR pill, yet it is important to note that I don't have a prescription because I have not been diagnosed with ADD, thus making my tolerance low (hadn't popped one for about a year). I enjoy the effects of Adderall, and I would guess that most of you already know what it does to you. The high may be a little different from person to person, but generally speaking Adderall makes you want to do things that you normally would be too lazy to do (at least in my case). I also think it's a great social drug because it sorta numbs anxiety and almost produces a euphoric vicoden like high. Wellll, there are also some negatives with this drug, one of which being the less than comfortable comedown. It also takes your appetite away, and depending on the individual that could be good or bad. Well, let me cut to the chase here. I knew that there was NO chance that I could possibly go to sleep, and the drug was at this point in time uncomfortable as I mentioned above, so I wanted to get a good nights sleep in to hopefully dull the effects of a hangover. In order to do this, I was going to need some major sleeping aids to get to sleep. This is where it gets weird...I popped about 8-10 50 mg Diphenhydramine pills, just your standard over-the-counters with one active ingredient. About 45 minutes later, I started feeling a little odd, and the next thing I know I am seeing ghostly hands come out of my walls and spiders crawling up my bed. I knew I was tripping, because I have used Dramamine before to get these visuals, but I think that this time was the most intense, and what is surprising to me is how only about 8 sleeping pills can have you tripping balls...I mean, I could have been the Adderall boosting the effects, but since Adderall is certainly not a psychedelic drug I could only imagine it contributing to the paranoid aspects. I woke up today and still feel odd, as though the Adderall is still in my system...Does anyone have any experience with these type of things happening? Also, it is important to note that neither Dramamine nor sleep medicine is a fun trip. There is no body high or anything, and taking the sleeping pills made it so I couldn't walk, my entire center of gravity was constantly shifting. I would recommend DXM over these OTC drugs any day!!
first off, i'll say that i'm an experienced dxm'er (they called me the "roboking" in high school) and i've done my share of dramamine in my early teen years. sometimes whilst under the influence of other otc's, the active ing in sleeping pills and dramamine will make you trip face at a normally lower dose. i have no idea why. i also have no idea why i've done dramamine more than once because the trip is so intense and long lasting. were you at least coherent because of the adderall, or was it like any other drama trip?
I was coherent for the duration if the trip, BUT than doesn't mean that I didn't get startled at times.
dxm is OTC...and generally you dont want to take uppers n downers but niether of your dosages were high enough to matter
Im also and expierienced DXM user and that shit can make you bug out. My friend can chug the robotussin bottles in 3 seconds flat, thats why we call him robo. Don't they say something about DXM taking you to the stage before death.
when i was on adderol i noticed, i could NOT get high, we seriously stopped counting after 18 bowls that night.. it just was not happening- and i t wasnt the bud cuz the day before one bowl laid us out
neither dxm nor dramamine are downers you should be feeling higher in a dreamy way (adderall will overtake any body high with full blown energy) and less bud should do more based on your body really working the lungs out in the 'deer in the headlight' mode speed gets your body in
I ate adderall's once (never again)... I looked them up in a PDR afterwards... Some of the side-effects include... Psycosis Impotence Hallucinations (yes, I know it's not a psychedellic, but it can still make some people hallucinate [based on their body's reaction with the drug] or when mixed with certain drugs, like pain killers). It was probably the combination of the two that had you trippin balls. And as for the question about DXM taking you to the stage before death... That's more suiting for Coricidin Cough and Cold pills... Most people describe the feeling of CCC's as "struggling to survive" or "it felt like I was dying"... This is because of the other active ingredients in CCC's (not the dxm, but the antihystimine)... It blocks your brains ability to get oxygen, and is devastating to other various vital organs - thus the feeling of impending doom... If you take too much DXM you'll get the same feeling, but at lesser doses it's more of a disassociative/hallucinogenic.
Yea you can hallucinate from adderall alone, I had this happen once. So like 2 years ago I traded like a gram of 10X Salvia for 30 pills of 30 mg adderall. Yea I got the better end of the deal (but my friend gets them free anyways and is obsessed with salvia)... I took them all over like 2 and a half days and didnt sleep at all for 2 nights in a row. In the middle of the 2nd night without sleep (and after just doing a lot more adderall) I look over at this mattress I had on my floor back then and the thing was clearly hovering like 3 inches off the floor, I was like what the fuck and then decided to try to ignore it. So then I look over to see and yeap its still hovering, but then I notice my closet door and its like made of complete liquid and waves keep going up and down it. So the rest of the night shit was waving, hovering and other kinds of random minor hallucinations. This is probably not just because of adderall, but from lack of sleep combined with lots of adderall in my system over 3 days.
i have perscription sleeping pills and took 2 last night didnt feel anything(didnt expect to) but once before i went to florida i took 1(diff kind then i have now) and was lookin at my bro and was like trippin haha i think i might save like 3 or 4 and take them at once and see if it does anything haha
Yeah I should also note that I felt weird, electric, the weird feeling you get after DXM for about three days afterwards...I was surprised at the intensity of the overall experience, certainly not what I expected. Is the ingredient in sleeping aids the same as what is in benadryl?
Diphenhydramine! Love it, probably won't try it again tho. I had a 20 minute conversation with my friend, and I blinked and he disappered! I was in shock and I couldnt believe it. I also saw a spider on my bed and went to pick it up and it was a piece of grass. I tried a few other times but got nothing other than nausea, headache, BAD COTTONMOUTH!
yeah you can defanitly trip on adderal things spin,you hear footsteps and shit i saw through a prople tint and a green tint and one time i was layin in my bed staring at the ceilng and all the little dots started moving around and i thought they were bugs and i couldnt stop it. adds are the shit tho lol
Hmm, never would have thought one could trip on Adds...What mg count gets you to that state of mind? Generally they come in 15 and 30 doses, with 50 for the kid that is bouncing off the walls...
