So I could not post this in the Q&A because of insufficient privileges, anyway to the point. I smoke weed for my first time with my best mate and it was amazing I felt high for ages, atleast 2 hours like staring at the ceiling laughing I got home about 2 months later and decided to buy some weed off the college dealer and I smoked 2 joints of it and only felt a tiny bit relaxed(probably placebo), is it possible the dealer sold me some crap stuff or is this normal? I really want to know because I want to get high like the first time I smoked it.
Two joints of any weed schwag or medical would get you high. You must not be smoking it right. Inhale it don't puff it.
It looked like what I smoked the first time, I attached a picture that looks like it (found it on google) smelt like weed very strongly. EDIT: It was a new dealer I was buying off, is it possible he thought he would scam me?
Well it looks good! That's for sure I'm really not sure what it could be tbh... Other than inhaling But you seem to be absolutely 100% sure you're doing it right.
I'm guessing you picked up a gram? If you smoked a gram and that was only your second time smoking you should be high no matter the quality of the weed. Now if you picked up .5g of shwag, rolled it like shit and made spliffs i can see how you did not get high... I know everyone is sure they can inhale, specially people who smoke cigs, but the way i teach everyone is to hit the joint, and when you inhale take a deep breath of fresh air, you will feel like the smoke made its way to the bottom of your lungs . It can also be that you smoked some dank the first time, maybe a strand of Indica that really gave you a sick body high so that is what you are expecting when smoking from now on, a sativa strain will not be as obvious of a high to a beginner, specially if its not very good quality.
I agree 100% Indica is my choice over sativa, due to the body high... But sativa isn't bad either... I like weed regardless... LOL
Try holding your hits in longer OP. Hold them in til your red in the face and you'll be in the sky in no time.

Oxygen deprivation doesn't set in till about 4-5 minutes without oxygen. However, holding in a hit longer let's your body absorb more thc from the smoke. Holding it in for say 10 seconds is way more beneficial than holding it in 3 seconds. Does that not make sense to you? I mean, you have to give your lungs time to absorb the thc, it isn't just automatically transferred.
False. the brain begins to die after 3 minutes of oxygen deprivation. Holding a hit to "absorb more THC" is a myth. THC is thoroughly absorbed within 3 seconds of the smoke entering your lungs, you actually get higher by taking a hit, deep breath of air to move the smoke to the bottom of their lungs and exhaling deeply, and repeating the process. You prolly smoked tea basel. That's what my friends sell to freshman like .25 weed with .75 tea basel rolled in joints. If the dude thought you were a beginner, he might have fucked you over.
I heard it was 4-5, but I'm not 100% certain so you may be right. Really, 3 seconds eh? Where are you getting your info from? When I toke I take a hit take a couple of deep breaths til my lungs are full then hold it for around ten seconds. The ten second rule always worked better for me and buddies than a quicker exhale. But whatever works best for you man.

But whatever works best for you man.[/quote] Regardless of the time, 30 seconds (holding it in awhile) would be much less than what you're both discussing. So oxygen deprivation is out. But there are studies that show that anything over 4 seconds doesn't contribute to higher cannabinoid levels in the blood stream. You're just absorbing more plant matter in your lungs by holding it in. Vapor is different though.
dont hold the hit in till you get red faced thats probobly more then even 10 seconds i would say dont hold a hit in longer then a deep breath also some times it just takes a while before you start getting high every time you smoke if that pic is of the weed you bought it looks good just give it time an toke a bitt more
