  1. I was just wondering how many of you out there voted in 2004, or plan to vote in 2008... cause it seems that alot of people here on the city, have alot to say about bush and what he does, and was just wondering if any of you all voted, or plan to, cause if you want something done then you need to vote on the president, that you feel is best fit..

(dont forget your governor and mayor and what not too :p )

oh and just a random fact...

every time there is a president election its leap year...

edit: forgot to answer 04 i didnt vote but i do plan to vote in 08

  2. I voted in 04' and I plan to in 08' if theres a canidate that shares my ideals

  3. ive given up on the lesser of two evils shit...if i agree with someone i will endorse them, if not i dont endorse anyone...why vote for someone i dont completely agree with

  4. it looks like it will be guiliani u know the mayor of new york when 9/11 happend and i guess hilary clinton

  5. of course man!!

been voting in elections since i turned 18, my first one was for clinton's reelection. and of course our state governor bill richarson. you should see how many people in my family dont register, then they've been bitching about bush fucking up in iraq, ect. the problem with republicans is that they are all ingrained to vote, and us dem's can be a little lazy!! i say if youre american, its a DUTY. and if you live in a country where they have elections too, you gotta vote. so many people think their vote doesnt matter, total bullshit. even if your candidate lost at least you excersized that crucial right. at least you let your voice be known. at least you got off your ass!!

  6. I'm english so no but I think I might still try.

  7. Ive heard this excuse from to many people. Of course your not going to agree with someone on every issue. Its ideal to choose those major issues that are important to you and find someone who will work for you.
get over it and fucking vote for christ sake. nothing is going to change over night ((ie, our "2 party political system)) but if so many of us keep taking this POV then nothing is ever going to change.

  8. You bet I'll vote again in 2008, and I'll vote democrat yet again. Unless the parties switch positions and the Republicans for once become concerned with Domestic issues.

  9. I voted in 2004 (was too young in 2000, but that election ensured that i will vote every single time now that I'm old enough) and I will vote again in 2008. I don't really have a political party, though I'm registered democrat, and really do fall in with the democrats more often than not.

I don't think that you will ever find a political party that you agree with absolutely everything on. Next election, it's pretty much a given we will be electing either a republican or a democrat. If you decide that neither of them will make you happy, you don't just give up. So you don't get everything you wanted - isn't it worth deciding who will make things less terrible?

If you look at the republican and democrat choices for nominees, you just might find someone who really does disgust you less than everyone else - maybe even someone you find yourself agreeing with more often than not. Get active in their name - this early in the game, pretty much everyone has a real shot. Don't wait till november 2008 when all you know about is the recent potshots each side has taken, and decide you don't like either of them. If you are that strong in your feelings, you should have taken the time to see if there was anything you could do to change things.

  10. Shitty attitude, man. You'll never vote if you wait til you completely agree with a candidate.

  11. i thought kerry would win. you know how mtv did that vote or die thing? i thought that was aimed to get bush out of office.

didnt work out the way they planned.

  12. "The ancient Greeks had a word for a person who was indifferent to public affairs – i.e., someone who couldn't care less about which candidate won – idiotes, or idiot."

  13. the only reason i didnt vote b/c i didnt like any of the fucks who ran...but as soon as the goverment gets a fuck who wants to legilize pot im in...:)

  14. That's me, too. I was 17 during the 2000 election. What a shame.

  15. a huge shame - i lived in florida, where every vote counted, and some counted more than others:rolleyes:

  16. ^^i live in FL and i didnt vote and i dont plan on voting next time either

  17. didnt vote in 04, but ill more likely than not vote in 08. democratic most likely unless its hillary the hermy who wins the nomination. then if kucinich chooses to run again ill go with him

  18. Fuck no! i will never vote, its a waste of time. think about it: even when gore won the electoral vote, bush still got into office. i love this country, but the government is fucked up with corruption.

  19. way to go guys! we lose an election by next to nothing, so you are gonna give them a wider margin next time! thats how to show them! i mean, that response obviously worked so well in 2004! keep it up for 2008!
