For some reason i was on youtube and found some people playing with an octopus and i was actually wondering if you can get an octupus as a pet in a fish tank Turns out you can, which is awesome [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xJKtZNUWAuE&feature=related"]YouTube - Finding an octopus![/ame] [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Sn_RruRKts"]<object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/3Sn_RruRKts?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/3Sn_RruRKts?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>[/ame]
They're freakin' smart too.A large aquarium kept losing crabs in a tank. They set a camera up and filmed this big Octopus crawl out of his tank,go to the crab tank, maw down some crab, then return to his tank. They finally had to put a low charge electric fence around his tank to keep him in
and octupus have no bones or anything so anything their mouth can fit through, their body will be able to fit through they can escape through almost any hole/crack/opening
That first video is of a fuckwit that visited Australia, and picked up a Blue ring octopus. Its #342 in the list of "1000 thing that will kill you dead in Australia". Idiot tourists aside, octopus's aren't really an appropriate pet to keep in an aquarium, as they actually have a wide roaming area, and will inevitably try to move... which is where their super intelligence comes into play... they regually escape professionals in commercial Aquariums, to have one in your home is Fail waiting to happen.
Sorry, my bad, I though that first video was the one below, with the moron tourist. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyjQCkLsNKU]YouTube - Baby Octopus 2[/ame]
And this is what happens next.... [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2p7z6xew_XU]YouTube - Octopus cartoon[/ame]
Those two could be the new james bond. No lie. And that guy is a beast for catching them both mid air while inside his vehicle.
They're very smart, i'd love a pet octopus but i heard they often manage to break out of fish tanks due to their problem solving ability... Of course they probably die when they flop out and realise there isn't any water outside the tank lol
Did you know Koreans eat live octupus for snack? Dipped in chilli sauce, it goes very well with the Soju, the liquor they drink.
hahahahahha that guy is either SUPER lucky, or was quickly rushed to a hospital right after that video lol. Hey dude...look...a rattle snake...oh its a tiny one imma pick it up! haha, only difference....you'll probably survive the rattle snake bite....
I wanna do what Peter did on family guy with that octopus. They would look so funny if they actually had the stash and eyebrow and such!
Yeah, but it really sucks when you take them out for a walk, and all that slime gets all over the lawn....
Yeah, if you want an octopus, you can't have anything that COULD open. Still, I don't think these beautiful creatures should be a dumbass' pet. Real life water gun, lol. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aH0JNSIrBA4&feature=channel]YouTube - Octopus vs. Bird[/ame]
