Hi all, I recently ordered a roor lil sista 45cm 18.8mm with rasta label and 18.8 diffuser. However, it has the same joint size as my old small crappy little bong (which i know is 14.5mm) and the downstem that fits in my old bong also fits in the new roor. Here is the old bong However, the bowl is definetely 18.8mm and it looks like they just gave me a 14.5mm joint but a 14.5>18.8mm downstem. But, if i ordered the 18.8 mm version of the bong (which it says i did on my order) then the size of the actual joint i got should have been 18.8, not just a 14.5>18.8 downstem right? Or did Roor send me the right thing and im just tripping? Any and all help is appreciated!
I wouldn't put it past Roor to send you the wrong joint size. an 18.8mm bong has an 18.8 joint, not a 14.5.
damn i would be pissed if i were you, hope you get it sorted out. PS: please come by my glass/bud picture thread and comment it would make my day, the link is in my signature at the bottom!
You don't have anything to worry about brotha. The female joints on both of your bongs are 18mm. With your old bong, the downstem that you use is called a low profile downstem, meaning that it reduces from 18mm down to 14mm for the slide. With this new downstem, you just have a regular 18/18mm joint setup. So you can use it on a bong with an 18mm joint and with a slide that is 18mm. you can tell the difference between the two because your old one just has one ground joint on it and your new one has two. A male and a female.
I'm pretty sure the roor is 14mm.... the downstem is 14/18 not 18/18.... or I'm just really confused lmao.
What is it then? Do you see the two downstems in the picture? He said that they both fit the roor. If the downstem that I'm saying is 18/18 is actually not 18/18, what would that make the other one? A low profile downstem that is 14mm reducing to something else?
i have to agree with these two. that RooR downstem seems to taper outward. i would say it is 14-->18 but as long as it fits, thats all that matters right!?
yes. They gave you a 14.5 > 18.8 down stem which is technically considered an 18.8 joint but make sure you ordered a 18.8 beaker joint for your beaker before you call them.
No.... InstaBlaze is right. You`re fine... they sent you an 18/18 downstem. 18mm joint on your tube... 18mm slide.
Thank you! The reason why OP is confused is because he thought his old bong had a 14mm joint, when he actually had a low profile downstem.
everything he said is true. saves me from having to type it all out lol OP your bongs both are 18 mm females...
Some more pics: I dont know it looks like it goes 14>18 to me, look at the size difference in the two openings in the last pic right?
