Alcoholism Did I top too early or too low??!! I think it's a male anyways..

    Been growing this little thang for over a month now, my first shot at growing. Just kinda been trial and error. It really only started growing once a friend gave me a grow light. But I decided to top right above this node, as you can see. I think I top it too low. Cuz the set I topped was only about an 3/4 of an inch and hadn't even started branching out. I wanted to top it though to start more colas growing out rather than just staying tall and lanky. [​IMG][​IMG][​IMG]

    As long as you keep it healthy I believe it will split off.

    What is the light source you are using? Looks starved for light to me.

    Honestly... my neighbor gave it to me, didn't tell me what spectrum the light was. But it's one single tube light. Has some what of a purplish tint. I have it running 18 and 6 on and off. I was thinking about going 24 on, just to see how it goes. But it's kind of just an experiment first plant. I really don't have the right resources and equipment at the moment.

    If you have a Lowe's the have some CFLs 150w for $10 I used 3 of those for a while until I could get LED light!
