Did I top this cortectly?

    Just topped my plant, used the pinching method but wasn't trying to fim. Just wanna make sure I left enough stem and what not. I'll do before and after pics below [​IMG][​IMG]

    Also should I start trimming the lower leaves now to? She's pretty bushy down below. Or should I wait until the stressing of the topping is done?

    You topped correctly but don't touch any other leaves. She needs them. Especially this early.

    Awesome thank you guys. I'll wait another while until I trim it's not like I'm running out of room yet or anything I just heard some people do it all at once

    Just trim the ones hanging low enough to touch the soil. Period. Until they are really big and you need to improve air circulation you should leave the leaves.

    Even the low ones stretch out past the pot, other than the feemur leaves. So I'll wait until o absolutely have to, give her some time to recover and grow. I also haven't even started using nutes yet so once my feeding schedule starts unless it jumps up crazy I'll just go from there.

    Until she's done stretching (after you flip to 12/12) you want as much foliage as possible. Like morange said, only defoliate the leaves touching the soil, as they can rot and cause problems. Once shes done stretching you wanna defoliate about the lower 1/3 of the plant so she can focus on quality bud production up top :-]

    Thanks for the advice guys! I'll wait until going to flower to trim then for sure. They were bag seeds of some home grown, and my first ever grow. Just trying to get my skills up before my green crack and gods gift seeds get planted. So I don't even know if they're female yet but I'm praying!

    I know it's a little to early to tell, but here are both of the plants I have. I kinda feel like the darker one might be male. It went through a lot of stress at the beginning [​IMG]

    They're still only about 4 and a half weeks old as of now. I heard around week 6 is when you can see behind the little flap what sex they are, so hopefully in another week or so I'll be able to tell :) and does anyone have any experience with attitude seed bank ? That's where I'm going to order my green crack and gods gift.
