did I just have an epiphany or am i just really high?

    Okay. I just smoked about 6 bowls of dank alone out of my bong. i'm beyond high, and i've just been thinking the past 5-10 minutes.

    why the fuck are we here? why is ANYTHING alive?

    what purpose does our, or anything else's existence ultimately serve?

    if there's a god, why are we here?

    for his entertainment?

    why would god create mortality when he could create immortality?

    if god exists, the only purpose of the universe to him-- is entertainment.

    just some ideas. people can throw out crazy random conspiracies and shit if they want. i wasn't sure if this deserved a thread or not, but i really didn't have anywhere else to put it.

    and for all the ladies out there, god is neither man nor woman. i just call god he because it fits. you can't picture god as a female. it doesn't work.

    hahahha i think about this shit wen im high and not high all the time
    i try not to wen im high cus i freak my self out because the truth comes to me how their is no reason to even live and i get all emo for lil bit and then completley forget wat i was talking about and then like 30 minuets later talk about it again and repeat

    There is no god and we evolved from microoganisms that appeared after lightning hit the water creating amino acids. On a planet that formed after the creation of the universe, which was nothing before it became.... Whats beyond the universe? Why is there a universe? Where did the universe come from? What if there was no universe? Would there just be an empty void? Time and space lost? Nothingness? Jeus I confused the hell out of myself.

    Time is the thing that keeps everything from happening at once.

    If time is infinite, does that mean that everything will eventually happen?

    also another thing to think about....

    take a "second" of our time....now, how many microseconds can you divide one second into? infinitely?

    time is weird.

    i'm glad to see people are responding pretty positively and constructively to this thread.

    and yes herbs, i read your poem. both of them actually.

    you're right, it is pertinent here.

    and JohnnyBlunt, i think you're right.

    time is just a word that we associate with the changing and passing of days and seasons.

    without our existence time would merely be an unnamed repeat of events. think about it. if time measures things that repeat themselves after a certain period of minutes, hours, days, moths, etc... then time is nothing more than a concept that man developed.

    you have to ask yourself though, without the development of time, and the clock, a calendar, what would life be like?

    appointments would be impossible to make. nothing would have order. when you think about it, without our creation of time, we never could have become as advanced as we have.

    Yeah it's funny to hear you guys talkin about this time stuff, because I'm reading a physics book right now that disproves time. So that's good stuff haha

    Try to define time. It's essentially associated with growth and decay. Beyond that, its an invisible "thing" we imagine is there. Is motion an illusion? Have you ever stopped to think that our brains have really just enabled us to view reality as we do? What if I or you stopped subscribing to time? Why do we rely on time so much?

    Why do I keep asking questions? haha
