So I started germinating 20 seeds last night using the paper towel and dinner plate method. My house is *damn* cold especially at night so I put a seedling mat underneath and set it to 23 degrees C. I checked on them a few hours ago, everything seemed fine, 60% already had a wee little root showing. I just went back in, and my mat went possessed. The light was blinking and the plates were friggin' COOKING hot At most they were in pretty hot conditions for an hour, at least they didn't dry out. Are they screwed now or do I still have a pretty good chance they'll make it out ok? How hot can you go while germing?
ahhh that sucks. Plant them and find out though. I've had seeds germ and sprout with around 100 degree temperature by mistake.
Looks like they didn't mind the heat. Out of 20 seeds I have 18 seedlings. They seem to be stretching alot? I have 2 42 watt cfl and 2 regular flourescent lights on them. Think they'll be ok til Friday(payday!)?
