I have this plant, she was an orphan. I was getting rdy for my first grow when a friend offered me a Vegging "Hawaiian Purple." I took her in hopes of making her a mother. I am totally new at this and I am clueless and apparently incapable of working the search function here on grasscity.com so I thought I would just beg for help!!! I have no idea what her prevoius schedule or nutes or anything were. She is about 3 feet tall and currently sitting under a 600W MH. My room averages 78F and 37%RH. A number of her older leaves were yellowing and some light green. So I thought there might have been a N deficiency, so being broke+ and only having "All Purpose Plant Food"(Miracle Grow) on hand I mixed up a little 1/8tsp in a cup of H2O. Now I fear I have burnt her. A vast majoriy of the leave tips and brown or yellow. It is 3am and I am admittadly drunk and have no energy to search out a solution, I only hope someone will leave me a little info I can use. Goodnight
sounds like a little nute burn, she'll be ok, flush her really well and start nutes really low and work your way up.
sounds like nutrient burn to me too. Either your ph is off, or the miracle grow was too hot, or both.
I don't think 1/8 teaspoon will burn it assuming it's in a good sized pot. I would have used more than a cup of water though, so yes, I agree with Doc. Flush her well with plain old water and let her drain well, give her plenty of light, quit working on her while drinking, and call me in the morning <G>.
