how could it? creation = creation... you can't think ANYTHING before nothing... so really.. it's either, creator or not... not creation, then creator of humanity... because i'd imagine humanity's seed was placed by probably some extra terrestial race, to develop here.. not saying they are God, just maybe the creators of humanity.... see what im getting at... think THE VERY BEGINNING...
Well the universe could create us couldn't it? I don't suppose it's too bad to say that maybe some event created a god?
yep i like this... one things thats also for sure.. is that science, is just figuring out someone's formula... lol... it's like figuring out a little piece of a algebraic equation, and thinking whoa! and then realizing numbers... are just a thought lol
well see that's not God then.. God = the creator. we can't understand it, that's the beauty it's such a well guarded secret, we can sit here and try to figure it out forever, but we still can't fathom, that.. it was created.. there's not another way, you'll just go in loops forever trying to make it make sense... that's the beauty..
I caught the premiere and was actually pretty disappointed in it.. especially since I've been looking forwards to it since I started seeing adverts a week or two back.. I mean they didn't even touch on the subject on the origin of information, and to me personally is the greatest evidence to date for a creator. Non physical information cannot arise through purely naturalistic processes, like this is known fact, it requires a mind to create and process information and create language/encoding. I already presumed that the Science channel would not admit there being a god so I atleast expected them to explain the origin of information but there wasn't anything that I caught.. They said before the big bang there wasn't time so god couldn't exist.. they limit their minds to the point of absurdity, even the holy scriptures explain how god created space matter and TIME. Meaning god would exist separate and outside from the universe he made since it's its' own creation. It was a major fail imo
I was watching a similar show today and Stephen hawking said according to science there is no god or after life. This got me thinking about how some of the smartest people of our time dismisses the idea of god. But I thought of how the people 200 years ago believed a lot of things that were based on the science of their time that would make us laugh now. What I'm getting at is maybe science isn't advanced enough to prove or disprove god yet. 200 years from now the debate on if god exists might be like debating if the earth is flat and you'll sail off the end of it
Haha what do you guys not understand. No one will EVER know how the earth was created. Let's just thank the miracle of life.
The math of the big bang, the energy of the big bang is still causing the universe to expand by my knowledge, but there will be a point that the molecules are as far as they can be and they gravity of the universe will suck in on it's self. At least that's what Brules Rules says.
im an atheist! Therefore i do NOT believe in God or any other Gods. Having said that im going to go with my gut feeling and believe every word stephen hawkings said!
Very good show, nothing I didn't learn when I read his book, and took a God/faith philosophy course last semester. Nice visuals tho..I was stoned.
yeah, i thought everyone would have figured this out by now... but they haven't. that's why there's still war and no peace.. but it will happen
I think that humans need to stop looking for solutions on the subject. The only reason people actually look for an answer to this question is because they cannot wrap their head around an answer that is so simple, yet so complex at the same time. In my own PERSONAL opinion, I believe that the universe has just always been here, and always will be. We as humans, aren't at the stage in evolution to actually grasp the thought of "infinity" though. Btw to the guy that posted the video of spirit science, there is one flaw that pretty much wipes the whole theory of spirit science. Mind and spirit are the same. The only reason you get results from "painting your room a certain color" or "wearing a bright shirt" is because we relate color to emotion subconsciously. Take for example, the color green, it depends what shade but a lot of people associate it with greed, envy, and I'm sure there are more that I just can't think of. (Bud? ) Why do you think that it is commonly associated with greed? Maybe because of money? Money has a great impact on everyone. And most people around here are greedy for money. But not to say that you can't associate it with grass, something that is usually associated with summer, which is associated with the sun, so it might give you a warm HAPPY feeling. All I'm trying to say is that the physical appearance around you does not dictate how everyone feels. Not to say that it doesn't dictate how you feel. It's not impossible to associate black with happiness, so why assume that someone wearing black is unhappy? It's just illogical. Tl;dr: Infinity does exist, we just can't grasp it. And colors do not have to be associated with a single emotion.
What I'm trying to say is that something greater created our universe and all of the science behind what makes our universe operate. The world just didn't happen out of nothing, it's scientifically impossible. Also, materials just didn't decide on their own what kind of physical properties they were going to have. They were made to have a certain makeup to provide a useful resource for a human society. For example: Why is Iron stronger than copper? I believe every element out there has unique scientific purposes and they have the properties they do, for a reason (i.e. how copper is a great metal conductor of electricity, how oxygen is a necessary element required to sustain human life). I've thought a lot about it and so far that's the best theory I can come up with.
Yes, and it makes perfect sense as well. Think about it, time is part of the continuum which needs all three parts to properly function. If you had time and matter but no space, where would you put it? If you had space and matter but no time, when would you put it? All three had to come into coexistence at the same exact time otherwise it simply wouldn't work. Now think of it this way, the people who made Grand Theft Auto created a virtual universe separate from our own. If you could experience that game first hand within it, everything would appear physically solid and all objects would apply to pre-written laws of physics and time would tick in whichever way the developers programmed it to, even though in it's truest reality it's just a bunch of mathematical equations written onto code on a 2 dimensional disc only brought to life through the processors, much like as our brain and perceptions brings reality to life as we experience it despite it all actually being made of up different frequencies of energy. Now in the dimension above where the developers truly exist in what we all experience, they are neither affected by the laws of physics within the video game they created nor does the time they created affect them in any way. It is all part of a creation completely separate from the creators. Now if the developers wanted to they can pick up a controller and enter into their own game whenever they wish, since they are the creators they can even alter the reality in any way they wish. They are not limited by anyway in which their creation is, and this is the problem that many put have with god is that they limit it to what's inside the universe, they have a box stuck around their head.
